My friend came back from overseas after leaving her toddler daughter home with her husband for a couple of weeks. On the way back from the airport, she purchased a bottle of coke and the bottle had her little girl's name on it. I thought it was a heartwarming story, but other than that personalized bottles are a bit confusing. I bet they don't have ones that say Yuko though :)
I guess that is how it works Yuko, you see the name of a person you know and are inspired to buy a bottle of Coke.
I didn't even know about these. Both my daughter and her boyfriend have brothers named Sam, so they bought one and shared it for a photo-op--I loved it!
Yes, definitely aimed at kids! Mine were the first to spot them in the Summer and insisted on looking at all the names.
Coca Cola is nothing if not a great marketer. Remember the big Christmas balls with Santa - and Coke ads - on them? I have several. Don't buy the stuff much these days, more into hot drinks (bet they come up with those too!)
SilkP - did they find their names? I know mine will never be found so I never bother to look for personalised items. :)Shelley - that is very true. I don't recall the big Christmas balls, but very much nostalgically recall the Coke advert from the 70s, "I'd like to teach the world to sing"...
FrugalS - well, there you are. The Coca Cola marketers would have been very pleased with that photo op. Surely there must be an instagram tag for just that?It seems my marketing antennae is broken as so many adverts confound me. Surely it is my age. :)
