care to join me?

Would anybody care to join me in
answering the Proust Questionnaire?

I'll post a new question every couple of weeks.

Your favourite virtue?

Courage (because I fear I lack it)

I use a version of the Proust Questionairreas a "get to know you" form at the beginning of the school year with my iology and ELL Physical Science students. I learn such interesting things, and get some insight into thought processes and even senses of humor! I share mine with them, too!

Oooh this sounds like fun, I'll play!

Kindness.....because it goes a long way.

Hillary, that is such a brilliant way to open the school year. It is as interesting to consider the answers of others as it is our own.

BB, kindness really does go a long way doesn't it?

You bet!

Courtesy - because it smooths the way

Count me in!
I would have to choose virtue as well because it's very underrated :-)

Gam Kau said...

ExactingL, yes, courtesy is essential! There would be no society without courtesy.

SilkP - virtue as a virtue!

D'oh I meant to type kindness as a virtue - sorry!

Gam Kau said...

SilkP, there's never too much kindness is there? :)

Ethical - it seems to encompass so many virtues. For me it means doing the right thing even when no one is looking. Not always an easy thing with human foibles. But a worthy goal and tool.

I completely agree Doreen, society could use a big dose of ethical behaviour these days. :)

Sounds like fun! I'm in!
Mine is patience, because I hope to have more of it (especially with my boys!)

Gam Kau said...

I almost chose patience as well Yuko. I definitely could use more.

Tough question! Can't decide between acceptance and compassion - they seem quite similar. Both smooth the way and make the world a better place.

empathy

Shelley, that's the problem, all the virtues are beneficial so it's hard to choose!

FrugalS, I think I have too much empathy sometimes!
