What a great idea! I've never thought of it. I might try this for a movie night this weekend :)

Interesting idea. I don't normally have trouble with steam wetting my popcorn, but that might be because I'm so greedy. I nearly always put too much popcorn in and have to pour out a bit before it's all finished. That might be the steam release that keeps it crisp...never thought of it before.

Yuko - movie night sounds like fun!

Sarah - it really works so well, I was surprised. Plus you can keep an eye on the kernels.

Shelley - I add too much popcorn in too, lol. My pot is always overflowing.

This is a great tip! Like Yuko, I'm always happy when the job descriptions of kitchen tools can be expanded. Too bad I hate popcorn :)

Stephen, I'm also very happy to find new uses for my belongings. Hate popcorn, it's so innocuous!

I am impressed by the combo of minimalism in words and minimalism in concept. Truly inspirational.
